Into a solution of Compound 67 (180 mg, 0.44 mmol) in 3 mL of EtOH was added hydroxylamine hydrochloride (60 mg, 0.9 mmol) and pyridine (0.5 mL). The solution was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The reaction was diluted with 20 mL of CH2Cl2, and the solution was washed with 10 mL of water and dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified on silica (eluted with 5-100% ethyl acetate in hexane) to give Compound 72 (98 mg, 52%) as a white solid.
