Procedure

tert-Butyl(1S)-1-[(dimethylamino)carbonyl]-2-methylpropylcarbamate (131 mg) was treated with 4M of hydrogen chloride in 1,4-dioxane (1.0 mL) at RT for 2 h. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was dried to give the desired product (96 mg).
