4 M HCl in dioxane (38 mL) was added to N-{2,4-dichloro-3-[5-chloro-1-methyl-6-(3-(trifluoromethyl)piperidin-1-yl)-1H-benzimidazol-2-ylamino]benzyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (5.4 g, 8.9 mmol) in dioxane (300 mL) and stirred at rt overnight. The reaction mixture was concentrated and the resulting residue was diluted with aq. NaHCO3-solution. The aq. phase was extracted with EtOAc, the organic phase was dried with Na2SO4 and concentrated.
