A mixture of 2,2-difluoropropanoic acid (37 mg; 0.34 mmol), HBTU (129 mg; 0.34 mmol) and TEA (69 mg; 0.68 mmol) in DMF (1.5 mL) was stirred for 30 min at rt and added to a solution of 4-chloro-3-[5-chloro-1-methyl-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-piperidin-1-yl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-ylamino]benzylamine (161 mg; 0.34 mmol) in DMF (1.5 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred overnight at rt, poured into brine and extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated and the residue was purified by column chromatography.
