To a solution of tert-butyl (3R,4R)-4-{[(4-chlorophenyl)carbonyl](methyl)amino}-3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (700 mg) obtained in Example 168 in ethyl acetate (5 mL) was added 4N hydrogen chloride/ethyl acetate solution (5 mL), and the mixture was stirred at 50° C. for 4 hr. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the precipitate was collected by filtration to give the title compound.
