In accordance with the method described in Example 6, except that 43.94 g (3S)-benzyl 3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-4-hydroxy-4-(2,4,5-trifluorophenyl)butyrate and an equal amount of anhydrous ethanol were used to replace (3S)-3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-4-hydroxy-4-(2,4,5-trifluorophenyl)n-butyl ester and methanol respectively, 33.83 g (R)-benzyl 3-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)-4-(2,4,5-trifluorophenyl)butyrate (yield: 77%) was obtained using the same method.
