Procedure
To a suspension of lithium aluminum hydride (161 mg, 4.24 mmol) in dry THF (10 mL) was added a solution of 1-(3,5-difluoro-4-thiomorpholin-4-yl-phenyl)-1H-[1,2,3]triazole-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (1.0 g, 2.8 mmol), obtained in Preparation 22, in THF (10 mL) at 0° C. and stirred for 0.5 h. The reaction mixture was then quenched with saturated solution of sodium sulfate and filtered. The residue was washed with ethyl acetate and the combined filtrate was concentrated to yield the title alcohol (0.7 g, 88%).
