The title compound was synthesized in a manner analogous to intermediate 7 using 4-hydroxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde and methyl (R)-(+)-lactate instead of 5-nitrovanillin and ethyl glycolate. MS: M+−87=166.1 Da.
