1-(3,3-Dimethoxy-propyl)-5-pyridazin-3-yl-1H-pyrimidine-2,4-dione (Prep122, 200 mg, 0.68 mmol) was dissolved in THF (5 ml) and then 2N HClaq (1 ml) was added. The solution was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The solvent was removed under vacuum at room temperature and the residue was lyophilized to give 185 mg of the title compound as hydrochloride salt (95% yield).
