To a solution of (S)-N-{2-[5-[2-(7-azabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-7-yl)-1,1-dimethyl2-oxo-ethyl]-2-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-1H-indol-3-yl]-propyl}-2,4-dinitrobenzenesulfonamide (0.415 g in 6 mL benzene) was added 0.20 g 2-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-3-yl-ethanol followed by 0.32 g triphenylphosphine and 0.189 mL of diethyl azodicarboxylate added dropwise. After 2 hours, the mixture was concentrated and the crude reaction product purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (methylene chloride:methanol, 98:2; then 95:5) to give the title compound (1.51 g).
