The compound from Example 5A (8 g) is dissolved in ethanol, treated with 0.5 g of 5% strength palladium on carbon and hydrogenated for 15 minutes in a Parr apparatus at a hydrogen pressure of 2 bar. The solution is filtered off with suction through kieselguhr and used for the next batch (Rf=0.21, T1E1, SiO2).
