Reaction Steps
3-(4-Piperidinomethylpyrid-2-yloxy)propylamine (2.57 g), 2-methylthio-imidazolin-4-one hydroiodide (2.60 g) and triethylamine (2.18 g) were refluxed in ethanol (20 ml) for 5 hours. The mixture was refluxed for a further hour in the presence of additional 2-methylthio-imidazolin-4-one hydroiodide (2.60 g) to ensure completion.
