Procedure

The same procedure described in Intermediate 9D gave methyl (5-(4-(tertbutoxycarbonyl)aminophenoxy)-3,7-diazaindolin-2-yl)carbamate. To a solution of methyl (5-(4-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)aminophenoxy)-3,7-diazaindolin-2-yl)carbamate (160.8 mg, 0.4 mmol) in methanol (10 mL) was added 2N HCl (aq) (10 mL) then stirred at room temperature overnight. The solution was removed by evaporation then the residue was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with NaHCO3 (aq) and brine, dried over Na2SO4 then evaporated. The residual solid was washed with ethyl acetate then dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound (95.3 mg, 80%): MS m/e 300 (M+1).
