Reaction Steps

A suspension of compound 1h (1.1 g, 2.3 mmol), methyl iodide (0.72 mL, 11.5 mmol) and potassium carbonate (1.6 g, 11.5 mmol) in acetone (14 mL) was sealed in a pressure tube and heated at 50° C. for 3 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to rt, filtered, and concentrated on a rotary evaporator to give compound 1i (1.1 g, 100%) as a light yellow solid. ESI-MS m/e 493.1 (M+1).
