Reaction Steps

A suspension of compound 1i (0.11 g, 0.22 mmol) and potassium carbonate (92.5 mg, 0.67 mmol) in a mixture of methanol (2.5 mL) and water (0.4 mL) was stirred at rt for 3 h. The reaction mixture was filtered and concentrated on a rotary evaporator. The residue was dissolved in ethyl acetate and washed with water and brine, dried MgSO4, and concentrated to give compound 1j (30 mg, 34%). ESI-MS m/e 397.3 (M+1).
