Procedure

A mixture of 5 g (25.3 mmol) (4-nitro-phenyl)-thiourea and 33.8 ml (253 mmol) N,N-Dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal was heated to 100° C. for 1 h. The precipitate was filtered off, washed with diethyl ether and dried to yield 4.74 g (74%) the title compound as orange solid.
