Procedure

3-t-butyl-5-(dimethylsulfonamidomethylthio)-1H-1,2,4-triazole was reacted with dimethylcarbamoyl chloride by substantially following the procedure of Example 25(b) to afford 1-dimethylcarbamoyl-3-t-butyl-5-(dimethylsulfonamidomethylthio)-1H-1,2,4-triazole, mp 83°-85° C.
