Reaction Steps
A suspension of 3.0 g (13.09 mmol) of 2-(pyrimidin-4-yl)-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-4H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one in 60 ml of acetic acid was treated with 1.75 g (15.7 mmol) of N-chlorosuccinimide. The reaction mixture was heated at 90° C. during 18 h.
