Reaction Steps

To a solution of the compound from Step I above (1.25 g, 2.36 mmol) in absolute ethanol (100 mL) was added 10% palladium on carbon (480 mg). The reaction mixture was placed in a Parr apparatus and shaken under 50 psi of hydrogen for 4 hours. The solution was filtered through a pad of Celite and concentrated in vacuo to yield the title compound. LC/MS: 365 (M+1).
