Reaction Steps
To a solution of 70.0 mg (0.258 mmol) of tert-butyl 4-(1-hydroxyl-2-oxoethyl)-2-methyl-3-oxopiperidine-1-carboxylate (Step E) in 12 mL of benzene was added hydrazine. The reaction was heated to reflux for 3.5 h and concentrated to afford the title compound. LC/MS 194 (M+1-56).
