Following General Procedure A above using 3,5-difluorophenylacetic acid (Oakwood) and 3-amino-2,3-dihydro-1-methyl-5-phenyl-1H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one (Example 8-X), the title compound was prepared as a solid having a melting point of 236-239° C. The reaction was monitored by tlc on silica gel (Rf=0.7 in 10% methanol/dichloromethane) and purification was by silica gel chromatography using 10% methanol/dichloromethane as the eluant.
