A solution of tert-butyl(3R)-6-cyclohexyl-3-(3-{[(2-ethoxy-2-oxoethyl)(methyl)amino]methyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)hexanoate (preparation 132) (1.00 g, 2.21 mmol) in dioxan (20 ml) and H2O (20 ml) was treated with LiOH.H2O (193 mg, 2.21 mmol) and the reaction mixture stirred at room temperature for 19 hours. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in EtOAc and washed with brine. The aqueous was extracted with EtOAc (×3). The combined organic extracts were dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and filtered. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to afford the title compound as a white foam (1.13 g).
