Reaction Steps
A mixture of 2-(4-tert-butylphenoxy)-N-[(1R)-1-(4-nitrophenyl)ethyl]acetamide (360 mg, 1.0 mmol) and 10% Pd—C (50 mg) in methanol (10 ml) was stirred under H2 balloon pressure for 1 hour at ambient temperature. Then, filtration to remove 10% Pd—C, evaporation gave 420 mg of the title compound as yellow oil.
