N1-[(1S,2R)-3-azido-1-(3,5-difluorobenzyl)-2-hydroxypropyl]5-methyl-N3,N3-dipropylisophthalamide (XV, EXAMPLE 167, 0.3 g, 0.62 mmole) in ethyl acetate (20 ml) and acetic acid (5 ml) is placed in a Parr pressure bottle. Palladium on carbon (10%, 5 g) is added and the mixture shaken under hydrogen at 50 psi for 2 hours. The mixture is filtered through a diatomaceous earth and the filtrate is concentrated to give the title compound; MS (MH+)=462.
