A stirred solution of the product of step (b) (0.97 g) and 10% palladium on carbon (100 mg) in acetic acid:ethanol (1:9, 20 mL) was placed under an atmosphere of hydrogen at 20° C. for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of celite and the solvent was removed in vacuo to give the title compound (780 mg). LC retention time 2.45 mins
