To a solution of 5-(1-hydroxy-2-methylpropyl)thiophene-3-sulfonic acid [2-(4-fluorophenyl)ethyl]-methyl-amide in dichloromethane (2 mL) was added 4 Å molecular sieves (60 mg), N-methyl morpholin-N-oxide (27 mg) and tetrapropyl ammonium ruthenium tetroxide; (n-Pr)4NRuO4 (5 mg). After stirring at room temperature for 1.5 hours, the reaction solution was directly adsorbed onto silica gel, purification by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate) was carried out, and the title compound (30 mg) was obtained as a yellow oily substance.
