Procedure

A mixture of 0.150 g (0.363 mmol) of (7RS,9aSR)-7-(4-fluorophenoxy)methyl-2-(6-chloropyridazin-3-yl)-2,3,4,6,7,8,9,9a-octahydro-1H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrazine (Example 32). 0.10 mL (0.72 mmol) of triethylamine, and 20 mg of 10% Pd/C in 10 mL of ethanol were shaken under 50 psi of hydrogen for 18 h. The mixture was filtered through Celite and the filtrate was evaporated. The residue was dissolved in chloroform, washed with water, dried (magenesium sulfate), filtered and evaporated. mp (.HCl) 246–250° C. HRMS calcd for C19H23FN4O: 342.1851, found: 342.1826.
