Procedure
7-Chloro-4-(piperazin-1-yl)quinoline (247 mg, 1.0 mmol) and 2-chlorobenzimidazole (46 mg, 0.3 mmol) are heated at 150° C. for 1 h. The mixture is dissolved in EtOAc-water. The organic layer is separated, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. Column chromatography of the residue with hexane-EtOAc furnishes the title product as colorless solid.
