Procedure
A stirred solution of (±)-2-amino-3-(7-chloro-1H-indazol-5-yl)-propionic acid methyl ester (78 mg, 0.31 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (2 mL) at 0° C. was treated with carbonyl diimidazole (50 mg, 1 equiv). The reaction was stirred for 5 min, warmed to room temperature, stirred 10 min, and treated with 3-piperidin-4-yl-3,4-dihydro-1H-quinazolin-2-one (78 mg, 1.1 equiv). The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The solvent was evaporated and the residue purified by column chromatography to give 148 mg (94%) as a white powder. 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6, 500 MHz) δ 1.46 (m, 4H), 2.55–2.80 (m, 2H), 3.05 (dd, J=13.7, 10.7, 1H), 3.15 (m, 1H), 3.62 (s, 3H), 4.04 (d, J=13.4, 2H), 4.11 (s, 2H), 4.22–4.39 (m, 2H), 6.76 (d, J=7.9, 1H), 6.87 (dd, J=7.3, 7.3, 1H), 6.90 (d, J=8.2, 1H), 7.08 (d, J=7.6, 1H), 7.12 (dd, J=7.6, 7.6, 1H), 7.40 (s, 1H), 7.60 (s, 1H), 8.15 (s, 1H), 9.18 (s, 1H), 13.48 (s, 1H).
