To a flask containing 3-benzo[b]furan-2-yl-1-perhydro-2H-pyran-2-yl-1H-indazole-5-carbonitrile (278 mg, 0.8 10 mmol) was added 6N HCl (12 mL) and methanol (12 mL). The solution was brought to 60° C. for 4 hours. The resulting precipitate was filtered and washed with water to provide the title compound (189 mg, 90%). ES-MS (m/z) 260[M+1]+.
