Reaction Steps
N-[(N-Boc)(N-methyl)-2-aminoethyl]-N-[(1-thyminyl)acetyl] glycine methyl ester was dissolved in 1N NaOH in MeOH/H2O 1:1 for 2 hours. The pH was adjusted to 2 with 2N HCl and extracted with ethyl acetate (50 ml). The organic phase was dried with Na2SO4 and evaporated to dryness. The yield of the title compound was 77%.
