Reaction Steps

A solution of 31 mmol of C-[5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-methylmorpholin-3-yl]methylamine and 31 mmol of N,N-dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal in 50 ml of dichloromethane is heated to reflux for 6 hours. The reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature and evaporated. The crude title compound is obtained as a yellow oil from the residue and is employed without further purification in the next stage, Rf=0.17 (dichloromethane-methanol-25% aqueous ammonia solution 200:20:1), Rt=2.61 (gradient I)
