Procedure

Monobenzyl pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate (compound H1) (1 g, 3.8 mmol) and aqueous 25-% ammonia solution (40 mL) are heated to 90° C. for 6 h. After cooling the mixture is evaporated and washed with ether.
