To a solution of 6-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-1-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-2H-quinolizin-2-one (Example 11, 78 mg, 0.211 mmol) in CH2Cl2 was added a solution of Br2:CH2Cl2 (1:1) at room temperature. The reaction was stirred for a couple hours until complete by LCMS. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the crude material was purified via silica gel chromatography (100% EtOAc).
