Reaction Steps
To 231 mg (1.00 mmol) of 4-amino-5-cyano-6-ethoxy-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester from Example 104A was added 5 mL of 7 M NH3 in methanol. The reaction was stirred at ambient temperature for 5 h, and concentrated in vacuo to 214 mg (100%) of the titled compound as a solid.
