To a solution of 5-chloro-2-methyl-7-morpholin-4-yl-thiazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidine (102 mg, 0.38 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (5 mL) was added selenium dioxide (51 mg, 0.46 mmol) and the solution heated at 105° C. for 6 h. The reaction mixture was cooled to RT and partitioned between DCM and brine. The organic layer was isolated, then dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo. The resultant residue was purified by column chromatography to give the title compound as an orange solid (53 mg, 49%).
