Procedure
A 4.14 g portion of ethyl 3-[1-[2-amino-6-chloro-4-pyrimidinyl]-5-ethyl-4-pyrazolyl]-2-trans-propenoate was suspended in 150 ml of ethanol, mixed with 3.07 g of 3-hydroxyazetidine hydrochloride and 7.8 ml of triethylamine and then heated under reflux for 2 days. The reaction solution was allowed to stand at room temperature, and then the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration to obtain 4.10 g of the title compound as colorless crystals.
