Procedure

4-[2-(1,2,3-Triazol-2-yl)ethoxy]aniline was prepared from 4-[2-(1,2,3-triazol-2-yl)ethoxy]nitrobenzene (10.5 g, 44.8 mmol) and 10% palladium on charcoal (1.5 g) in a manner similar to the aniline intermediate of Example 12 to give the desired material (4.91 g) as a yellow solid m.p. 159°. δH (CDCl3) 7.62 (2H, s), 6.73-6.58 (4H, m), 4.77 (2H, t, J 5.8 Hz), 4.40 (2H, t, J 5.8 Hz) 3.43 (2H, s).
