Procedure
A mixture of 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-indole-2,3-dione (30 mg, 0.126 mmol), 3,5-difluoroaniline (170 mg, 1.32 mmol), and a drop of acetic acid was heated at 140° C. for 4 hours in a 3 mL vial. The crude product was suspended in CH2Cl2 and purified by preparative TLC [Eluent: EtOAc/hexane (1:1)] giving the desired product. Procedure D
