Procedure
In 4 ml of methanol, is suspended 80 mg (0.147 mmol) of 7-(trans-3-aminomethyl-4-trifluoromethyl-1-pyrrolidinyl)-1-cyclopropyl-6,8-difluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid trifluoroacetate obtained in Example 11a. To the suspension, is added 0.02 ml of conc-hydrochloric acid to dissolve the suspension. The reaction liquid is concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in 5 ml of methanol. Diethyl ether was added to the solution to give a precipitate. The resulting precipitate was obtained by filtration to give 65 mg of the objective substance as a slightly yellow powder (yield 94.7%).
