Procedure
2-Ethoxy-4-chloromethyl-6-hydroxy-pyrimidine is reacted with N,N-dimethylcarbamoyl chloride analogously to the process described in Example 87 in order to produce 2-ethoxy-4-chloromethyl-6-pyrimidinyl N,N-dimethylcarbamate which is required as the starting material in Example 33. This product is obtained in the form of a yellow oil, 1H-NMR (CDCl3): 1.43 (t, OCH2CH3), 3.08 and 3.14 (2×s, CON(CH3)2), 4.40 (q, OCH2CH3), 4.50 (s, CH2Cl), 7.00 (s, CH).
