Procedure
##STR79## 24.5 g (0.1 mol) of 2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl hydrazine and 21.6 g (0.1 mol) of diethyl ethoxymethylene malonate are stirred for 24 hours at room temperature in 150 ml of ethyl alcohol, the solvent removed by vacuum, and the crystalline residue stirred with petroleum ether. Suctioning off and air-drying results in a yield of 33 g (79.5% of the theoretical) of N-[2,2-bis-(ethoxy-carbonyl)-vinyl]-N'-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl) hydrazine with a melting point of 86° C.
