Procedure
at 95.07 percent pentachloropyridine conversion with 98.13 percent of the pentachloropyridine added accounted for in the final products. Of the metallic zinc used in the reaction, 95.61 percent reacts with chloropyridines with 91.72 percent resulting in the formation of 2,3,5,6tetrachloropyridine. Of the metallic zinc added, 100 percent oxidizes during the reaction.
