0.03 ml (0.55 mmoles) of 98% sulfuric acid are added to a solution of 0.205 g (0.5 mmoles) of (E)-1-[4-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)-phenyl]-1,2-diphenyl-3,3,3-trifluoro-propene in 1.5 ml of isopropanol. The separated crystals are filtered off, washed with ether, and the crude product is recrystallized from isopropanol. 0.22 g (84.6%) of the aimed compound are obtained; m.p.: 150°-153° C.
