Procedure

When the method of Inventive Example 1 was repeated using ethyl 9-acetoxy-2-methyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-5H-cyclohepta[b]pyridine-3-carboxylate (450.0 mg, 1.55 mmol) and guanidine hydrochloride (2.67 g, 28.0 mmol), hydrolysis of the acetoxy group occurred at the same time, and the title compound (237.8 mg, 58.9%) was obtained as white powder.
