Procedure

Prepared according to the method described in Example 1(ii) from 1-hydroxy-5,7-dimethyltetralin-1-yl-carboxylic acid, methyl ester (1.24 g; 5.27 mmol; from step (i) above) and LiOH.H2O (0.443 mg; 10.6 mmol). Yield 0.629 g (50%).
