Reaction Steps
A solution of benzyl 3-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)piperazine-1-sulfonyl]-2-isobutylpropionate (630 mg) in methanol (10 ml) was hydrogenated under 40 PSI pressure for 18 hours in the presence of palladium on charcoal (63 mg, 10%). The catalyst was removed by filtration and the solvents were removed in vacuo to give 3-[4(4-fluorophenyl)piperazine-1-sulfonyl]-2-isobutylpropionic acid (460 mg).
