Procedure
100 mg of 4-[(1,2-diphenyl-1H-benzimidazol-6-yl)oxy]butan-1-ol was dissolved in 4 ml of dichloromethane, mixed with 0.1 ml of triethylamine and 20 mg of methyl isocyanate and stirred for 15 hours. Another 0.1 ml of triethylamine and 20 mg of methyl isocyanate were added, allowed to stir for 20 hours, and then concentrated by evaporation in a vacuum. The residue was purified using chromatography on silica gel.
