This compound was prepared according to general method D from methyl 2-(4-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)-6-methyl-2-phenylpyrimidin-5-yl)pentanoate (0.083 g; 0.214 mmol), sodium hydroxide 10N (0.214 mL; 2.14 mmol) in methanol (2 mL) to afford 0.066 g (81%) of the title compound as a white solid.
