[2-(ethylcarbamoylamino)-7-(2-pyridyl)-1,3-benzothiazol-5-yl]trifluoromethanesulfonate (1.34 g, 3.0 mmol) was dissolved in DMSO (10 mL) and stirred at 160° C. for 16 h. The mixture was diluted with EtOAc, washed with H2O, brine. The organic fraction was concentrated in vacuo to afford i (1.01 g, 90%). MS: 375.96 [M+H]+.
